I would like to introduce myself and tell you a bit about my personal philosophy.
I began my career in the print industry creating brochures, letterhead, etc and working prepress.
It was good experience and led me to where I am today.
I have worked for myself for about a decade. Initially The Prettiest Pixel, LLC started out under a different name, and designed and produced infant and toddler clothing and accessories. It was my initial experience in product design and manufacturing. Eventually, over time, the business morphed into a graphics company. Many of the small companies I worked with needed branding for their startups. The small business branding niche then morphed into a wedding stationery design firm in 2010 and I used my previous experience to develop many lines of high end luxury wedding stationery.
Within that time, I gained extensive knowledge in branding, data analysis, business structures and sales. I believe the foundation to a successful work environment is proper communication, and to have an organized approach to every project or work task. I pride myself on having a good attitude. I use high level critical thinking in my approach to problem solving. There is a solution to every problem, it's just a matter of finding it and being patient and methodical. The "problem" might be a design concept, or a disorganized workflow system, or just a process that is technically inefficient. I am not only a designer, I am a thinker and a life long learner which allows me to be useful in a multitude of disciplines.
I enjoy supporting others and being part of a team. I believe in smiling and attitude and being self-driven and having a sense of humor, especially when the pressure is on. Life is too short not to support those around you, whether it be family or co-workers, vendors or business associates.
A short summary of my experience is as follows:
